    Damien has to admit, he had no talent for swords, spears, or anything that required looking heroic up close. But if there was one thing he was good at, it was shooting things from a very safe distance.
    Some people might call that cowardly.
    Damien preferred the term: survival strategy.
    Because in his experience, there was a very thin line between stupidity and innovation, and most people liked sprinting straight past it, luckily for his friends, he wasn't like most people.

    It was a normal day in New York when a black tower burst from the ground and destroyed humanity, leaving Damien stranded in a post apocalypse world.
    For the longest time, Damien was convinced he was the last human on earth, surviving off dirt and air. Until the day he crawled into one of the nebulous gates that led him to the Tower Of Mysteries.
    His was no grand adventure, he died of starvation the moment he felt the tower's clutches on his soul.
