Chapter 205: Traitor
Chaos! It was utter chaos inside the fox tribe. Three immortal king beastmen targetted another one of their kind and attacked him. And the one who was getting beaten up was the eagle king. Blood trickled down from the wounds that he received. The eagle beastmen who could not withstand their king getting hurt tried to attack the opponents. But that seemed impossible because the trio of Snake, Vulture, and Scorpion tribes stopped the eagle beastmen from going anywhere near the battlefield. Together, they decided to support their kings and prince, which turned the entire scene upside down.
Even the scorpion king stood speechless in his place. His hands were tied as of now. He always knew that his son was the real king of their tribe and the scene happening in front of him solidified that fact. His tribesmen were accepting him as their king for Demir’s sake. Demir refused in taking over the throne and his tribesmen respected their prince’s choice. However, the scorpion king learned that his tribesmen will always side with their prince if something comes up like today.
’’Do something you brat! They will destroy the entire city like this!’’ King Helio yelled at his son, ’’Lucas! I’m talking to you’’ He repeated when his son didn’t respond and only stood stupidly while staring at the fight.
Lucas briefly glared at his father before walking out of that place, ’’I will not do anything. That bastard deserves it after losing my mate’’ It was not like he could anyway stop those rogues from fighting. He had better things to do. His mate was missing and he had no intention of wasting his time here.
Then he remembered something and that made him glance at his friend, ’’Are you coming?’’
’’Let’s go’’ an unwavering voice replied to him. Noah cast a gaze on his father before walking out of the fox tribe.
King Leonard understood his son’s gaze. There was nothing more important to his son now other than his mate. Both Lucas and Noah were abandoning their duty as city guards. But who could blame them? It was a given for males to prioritize their females during a dire situation. The lion king admitted to himself that he would have also done the same in thier position.
’’Those brats’’ The lion king heard his friend mutter. Nonetheless, he knew Helio would also do the same in this situation. He too would have gone to look for his mate even if it meant deserting his tribe.
Coming to such a conclusion, they could do nothing but try to stop the immortal beastmen by themselves. Foremost they had to stop the Snake, Vulture, Eagle, and Scorpion beastmen before going after thier kings.
