Chapter 206: Hot session
Lyra woke up with a gasp. Her breathing was erratic and her eyes streamed with tears. She had a hard time calming herself; once she did, another shock awaited her. Her eyes roamed around her surroundings. Dark peach-colored walls were visible even though there was not enough light inside the room except for dim bedlight. The next thing that caught her eye was her study table and the maroon curtains covering the window.
Dread started to creep into her heart when she finally realized that she was back in her old world. The room and bed that she was lying on felt both familiar and unfamiliar. She hurriedly got down from the bed and ran inside the bathroom. Switching on the light, she stared at herself in the mirror after tugging her t-shirt. There was nothing. Only her clear skin reflected in the mirror. This time almost desperately, she looked at her wrist but found nothing.
’’Was it all a dream?’’ She thought out loud. Her mates, her babies, and the beast world felt like a dream to her. There was no other explanation for her current situation. Her mates’ marks were gone from her body.....or were they even present in the first place? She didn’t know. She really didn’t know anything and that was driving her crazy. Tears didn’t stop trickling down her cheeks and lastly into her palms that she was using to cover her face.
’’Please.....’’ She didn’t know who she was begging or for what, but she felt like doing it. To beg anyone or someone to send her back to her mates. It didn’t matter even if it was all a dream. She just didn’t want to wake up from that dream.
She crumbled to the marble floor still wailing. Her golden blonde hair cascaded on her face as she buried her face on her knees. She kept on chanting her mates’ names hoping to see them again. But unbeknownst to her, blue light started to envelop her as though comforting her. The light kept on getting brighter and brighter until....
’’Blake!’’
Kaizer turned around with a start when he heard Lyra’s scream. Just a moment ago, he had left her side to mend the diminishing fire but was shocked to hear her loud cry. He quickly made his way toward her and frowned seeing her tear-stricken face. She was still in her sleep state but was mumbling some incoherent words with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Are you alright?" he hesitantly asked as he took her into his arms.
He didn’t know what to do. Kaizer was completely blank. This was new to him. Having a female by his side was foreign to him. He still didn’t know many things about females because it didn’t matter to him before. But now? Now it was different. In fact very different because now he had someone he had to look after. He sincerely wanted to care for her but didn’t know how to do it.
