Chapter 133: Please trust me
Lyra smiled and went out of the castle to give her parents some privacy. She knew about her mother’s anguish when she learned about her father’s disappearance.
Sighing she darted her eyes at the entrance and felt worried. Killian’s unusual behavior for the past few days made her nervous. Someone was controlling him but she didn’t know who it is.
Then another thought entered her mind. If it was really true that Killian was manipulated then were her other mates too? Victor came to her mind as soon as she deduced that possibility. Lyra knew well about Victor’s personality. He was stubborn but not irrational. His frantic mood for the past few weeks was shocking for her, but she guessed that it might be because he was just feeling insecure.
"Is it really because of that?" She murmured to herself. Feeling jealous was alright to some extent but Victor’s case was totally different. ’Why did I not think about this!?’ She scolded herself. ’He suffered for so many days without her awareness?’
She turned around and went back inside the rose castle. Her parents just curiously glanced at her as she hurriedly climbed the stone stairs and reached Victor’s room.
Lyra frantically searched the room but the room was empty. She thought about turning around and finding him outside the castle but halted in her place hearing a painful groan from the room.
Her eyes flickered and she carefully stepped inside and narrowed her eyes at the figure in the corner of the room.
"Victor?" She gently called him and widened her eyes looking at his unfocused silver eyes. He was staring right back at her but his eyes seemed lost and devoid of life.
Lyra’s heart thundered inside her chest as she made her way to him. She kneeled in front of him and stretched her hand caressing his face, "What is happening?" Her voice trembled as she continued, "Victor?"
