Chapter 134: Danger
Victor closed his eyes and buried his face in the crook of her neck.
He knew that her power was something related to water and remained silent for her to soothe him and his emotions.
Victor too tried his best to concentrate to break free from his mind control while Lyra continued pouring her powers into him. She was not sure about her power yet, but after practicing for the past few weeks she was able to understand that her power could heal.
When Kyrell kidnapped her, it was the first time that she faced Darya from her dream. From then on, she tried to summon that water nymph but always failed. Lyra had so many questions for the nymph. ’Why is she helping me of all people?’ And ’Is Vanadey safe?’ Just remembering that woman’s warm smile brought her happiness.
Lyra knew little about ’Sapphire of wish’. Her mates always avoided talking about it and she has to admit that it made her angry. She knew that something was going on around her but as a person who is the target of many enemies she didn’t know what that was. She knew that her mother wished the gem to bring her back to life and for that, Gregory hated her. She also heard that the fox king wanted both her and her mother dead for him to get the full access to ’Sapphire of wish’
The only relaxing thing in all this was that she knew about her identity as half fairy. But nothing else other than that. She sighed and turned her attention back to Victor, "How are you feeling?"
He didn’t answer immediately and she maintained her silence. Learning about being mind-controlled must have already been shocking for him, so she didn’t want to press him more for an answer.
Victor relaxed his head on her shoulder and parted his lips, "I feel exhausted"
"Hmm," she said caressing his back and he continued, "My head feels like breaking" she tightened her grip around him hearing that, "But I feel free, I can sense all of my mistakes that I did for the past few weeks"
"It’s not your fault," she said in a gentle voice, "You didn’t do anything on purpose, so stop blaming yourself"
"How can you forgive me so easily sweet girl?" Tears welled up in his eyes saying those words, "The more you are like this, the more I think that I do not deserve you"
