Chapter 127: Illusion
Blake continued to laugh until he was out of breath. He looked at the stranger in front of him with eyes filled with mirth. He wanted to snap but the black wolf’s words didn’t affect him at all, his Lilly never disliked him for being a cold-blooded beastman, even his children were very much attached to their mother, actually, they didn’t even know that their kind was loathed by others.
"Done?" Blake asked, "You should leave now"
Kaizer gritted his teeth, "I’m not going"
Blake sighed at his stubbornness, "Do you really want to fight right now?" he wanted to leave, his tribe would be questioned by another tribe from the beast city for starting this battle. And this situation would get drastic if he fought against an immortal beastman.
Kaizer observed the annoying snake beastman and asked the most curious question that bothered him, "Why were you laughing earlier!?"
Blake raised his brows, "That? Well, you said that I’m hated by my female"
"It is true isn’t it?" Kaizer asked. He was confused by this snake, every female hated savage beastman, and this snake would be no different.
"You are wrong" Blake retorted, "My female loves me the most, She has never despised me for being cold-blooded"
Kaizer narrowed his eyes, he didn’t believe this snake and he hated his smug look. He closed his eyes, today he wanted to teach a valuable lesson to this snake.
Blake staggered in his place holding his head, "What.....?" his words came to halt as he sensed someone lying on his lap. He slowly cast his eyes down and his breath hitched seeing his mate’s lifeless body, "Li-lilly?" he struggled to speak as he shook her, "Please...No!.....Lilly!"
No matter how much he cried out, her body remained motionless. Her beautiful face looked ghostly pale and her lips were blue. Rage filled his entire being as he hugged her closer to his chest, "LILLY!" he left out a heaven-shattering wail that stopped the beastmen who were fighting on the battlefield.
