Chapter 104 - Good News, It’s All About Science

I opened my eyes again, the familiar sensation of pain and burning permeating my tired body.
The ceiling and walls of that ancient castle were already familiar to my eyes. Beside me was my wife, Zenith Greyrat.
She looked worried—after all, it wasn't the first, nor the second time she had to heal me extensively after I returned covered in wounds.
For the past two years, this scene had repeated itself hundreds of times.
And every time, she was there.
She healed me, took care of me, even though I was absolute trash, even though I disappointed her every single time. Even though I was an incompetent fool who couldn't even go out to search for my own daughters because of my own weakness, she always supported me silently.
I could see her suffering, I could feel the crushing weight of responsibility.
I never once thought about resting...
I was exhausted, physically and mentally. But so what? I couldn't stop. Just thinking that my daughters might be in a similar or even worse place, I knew I couldn't stop.
