Chapter 325: Get rid of them
The warehouse was cold and silent, its vast expanse lit by flickering overhead lights that cast harsh shadows across the concrete floor. The smell of dampness and rust hung in the air, but it was the anticipation, the thick tension, that made the atmosphere suffocating. Remo Quinn stood in the center of the room, his hands tucked into the pockets of his tailored suit. His face was a mask of cold indifference, but beneath the surface, a storm raged.
He had spent the last few hours preparing this moment in his mind, knowing that once Margaret and Dominic arrived, there would be no mercy. They had plotted to take away everything he held dear—his wife, his empire, his life. And for that, they would pay.
Tony stood beside him, silent but alert, his eyes fixed on the entrance. They had been waiting for over an hour since Dominic’s confirmation of the meeting. The stage was set. The trap had been laid.
Remo wasn’t the man who panicked or rushed when things went wrong. He calculated. He waited. He let his enemies hang themselves on the noose he carefully crafted. And now, the time had come.
The distant sound of a car approaching cut through the quiet, its engine echoing in the empty space. Remo’s sharp eyes flickered toward the entrance, watching as headlights pierced the darkness.
"They’re here," Tony muttered, his voice low.
Remo’s expression didn’t change. He remained still, waiting as the car door opened and Dominic stepped out, followed closely by Margaret. They moved cautiously, their eyes scanning the warehouse, unaware of the men hidden in the shadows, waiting for the signal. Dominic’s confident swagger faltered when he saw Remo standing there, alone and unmoving. He had expected Marcus, the assassin. Not Remo.
Margaret’s eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping into her expression as she exchanged a glance with Dominic. They approached slowly, wariness in their steps.
"Where’s Marcus?" Dominic asked, his voice cool but tinged with unease.
