The Twisted Obsession

Chapter 166: Stolen inheritance

Cage paced back and forth in his office, his mind consumed by a growing sense of dread. With trembling hands, he dialed Remo’s number, the urgency of the situation weighing heavily on his shoulders.

"Remo, it’s Cage," he greeted, his voice tense with apprehension.

"Cage, what’s wrong?" Remo’s voice was laced with concern, sensing the gravity of Cage’s call.

"I have bad news. Harrison..." Cage’s voice trailed off, the words catching in his throat as he struggled to find the right ones. "He’s used his power of attorney to transfer all of Mr. Falcone’s assets into his own name."

A stunned silence followed Cage’s revelation, the weight of his words hanging heavily between them like a thick fog.

"What?" Remo’s voice finally broke through the silence, sharp with disbelief and anger. "How could he do something like that?"

"I don’t know, Remo," Cage admitted, frustration seeping into his tone. "But it’s true. Almost everything that belonged to Mr. Falcone is now in Harrison’s name. The only thing left untouched are his shares of the company."

Remo’s voice crackled with concern as he posed the crucial question to Cage, "So what happens to Abby’s inheritance now?"

Cage paused, considering the implications before responding. "Abby, as the designated inheritor per her father’s will, potentially has legal avenues to challenge Harrison’s actions and reclaim the assets he wrongfully transferred."
