Seo Da-rae looked around. The café inside the company was bustling with people wearing employee badges. Surrounded by people in suits, his jeans and T-shirt stood out even more.
“Why did you call me?”
Or maybe it just felt that way because the person sitting across from him was treating him like an outsider. When was the last time their hearts fluttered just by making eye contact? It couldn’t have been that long ago, yet he couldn’t quite remember.
Seo Da-rae brushed off Kang In-hyuk’s emotionless gaze and opened his mouth.
“You changed the door code.”
“I’ve been staying at my parents’ place lately... I didn’t get a chance to tell you.”
Kang In-hyuk rushed to explain, as if it had just occurred to him. Since moving back in with his parents, he hadn’t had the bandwidth to think about anything else. His mother must’ve been the one to change the passcode—but still, he was the one who’d told Seo Da-rae to move in with him, so he felt guilty.
“I didn’t come to ask why.”
Seo Da-rae shook his head.
“I’m moving out. I need to pack my stuff—when can you open the door for me?”
“Just call me when you go. I’ll tell you the passcode.”
“Alright.”
