Chapter 28
Tae-seo had said it himself—he probably ate well because of Alpha pheromones.
It wasn’t a particularly meaningful statement. He had just mentioned it in passing when Se-heon commented on his appetite. Not every conversation had to be important; sometimes, words were just words, drifting by.
But he hadn’t expected Se-heon to actually remember it.
To actually wait here because of it.
Tae-seo couldn’t bring himself to look at Se-heon directly. His heart felt unsteady, like it was trembling inside his chest, so he instinctively placed a hand over it. Maybe it was just because he had gotten up too suddenly after napping.
“Food, I mean...”
What was he even trying to say?
Tae-seo started, then sighed heavily. Looking at Se-heon’s face stirred up everything that had happened today, sending his thoughts into chaos.
“I thought no one would be home when I got back. But my parents were waiting for me like they knew I was coming, so I felt a little surprised... and a little guilty.”
“They must have been worried.”
“Of course. I may not look like it, but I’m a very loved son.”
Tae-seo spoke like a kindergartener spilling every little detail to his mother after school.
