"So, are you saying we should keep pressuring that guy?" Zhang Jianguo asked.
"Yes. We’re bound to get something out of him!" Qin Jian said confidently.
"But that depends on whether he talks. If he keeps silent, the police can’t hold him indefinitely, can they?" Zhao Dong’s temper flared again. "Don’t you think these people could just find something legitimate to do? Work a proper job, come home to a warm dinner with their wife and kids—how comfortable would that be? Damn it! I’d love to have that kind of life, but I can’t!"
"Alright! Just because of what you said, I’m telling you now—you better transfer out of the military next year!" Zhang Jianguo glared at Zhao Dong, finding him particularly annoying tonight.

"Yes, I will. She’s one of the most important people in my life! And I trust you’ll not stop me, Commander. Besides, they’re military doctors from our unit—they were abducted right under our noses. That is absolutely unacceptable!" Qin Jian said with unwavering determination.
