The Princess And The Lord

Chapter 1335: Breaking The Divinity Law

"By the way... have you heard anything about Uncle Stevie?" Glory’s eyes narrowed in worry. She had been back for a few days, but she had yet to see Stephan because he had left Cestine Palace for over a month to find out how to cure Lucas.

Fred’s movements paused briefly before he continue and spoke calmly as normal, "No, he’s looking for clues on what happened to Luc and we rarely hear from him and it’s not easy to contact him but I left a cryptic message on his phone but he probably didn’t get it?" Fred shrugged nonchalantly afterward he finished his food then gently wiped his mouth with a napkin after which he said again "Don’t worry about him, it’s better for him to go out than be stuck here"

"And your mother how is she?" Lory knows about Fred’s mother Adrianne Leighton quite well but because of her work as an activist and reporter she rarely stays in the country for a long time.

"Don’t worry about her, she doesn’t have any Gift whatsoever but that woman is strangely always in luck in whatever situation, sometimes I wonder if that’s actually her Gift" Fred pursed his lips then continued "She’s still traveling around the world, doing what she loved, you know, annoying other people" the corner of his lips curved into a playful smirk.

"How old is she? Is that okay running around like that at her age?" Lory knew Adrianne had always been energetic but her normal constitution as non gifted people make her worry for her health and safety.

"He’s sixty-eight, don’t worry she’s as healthy as a horse, besides, I have someone watching her, after all, she has a habit of looking for trouble, like someone I know?" Fred looked at Lory meaningfully.

Lory narrowed her eyes, "Hey, I never look for trouble, trouble looks for me, you know?!"

"Uh-huh" Fred rolled his eyes then got up from the chair and picked up all the dirty dishes on the tray and took them out.

A minute later he came back hurriedly with a tablet and handed it to Lory, "There was a sighting of Bael at Mirror Creek south of Ember City, I don’t know if you still remember that place?"

"A Bael in in our territory?" Lory frowned.

"That’s worrying news, so I need your help to investigate the situation." Fred tucked his hands into his trousers even though he look calm from the outside but Lory could see that he was disturbed by the news.
