Chapter 21: New House
The group finally arrived back at Hearthwood after three days of traveling.
The first thing Kai did was take Erika and Vanira to Carl’s house for temporary housing, which he accepted without hesitation.
Paul and George went to stay at an inn temporarily after Kai gave them some money.
"Kai, can you give us the monsters you’ve collected? We’ll sell them in the adventurers’ guild and give you your cut. Also, we’ll need to Goblin King’s body to send to the Hero Academy because of the demon king."
Josh had informed Kai about everything, so he understood their reasoning. More so now since he had this world’s Kai’s memories.
"Sure, as long as I get paid from this as well."
"Hahah, don’t worry, since you killed it, you will get paid. We just need the body." Josh reassured him.
"Hmm. You got a wagon?" Kai asked
"Ahh."
Around ten minutes later, the Adventurer’s guild staff came out with a few wagons for Kai to dump the monster bodies on. And after another thirty minutes, his pay was calculated.
"Alright, Kai, here you go. Ten gold coins, thirty silver, and 100 copper." Josh handed Kai the bag of money.
