Chapter 318: Fates

"Are you okay though? You’ve looked out of it since morning." I said and Kim cleared his throat before slowly nodding. He was clearly being dishonest and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t getting frustrated with him. I wanted to shake him hard and ask him what the darm problem was and what it was that was actually holding him back, but I refrained from doing that, choosing to swallow the next question on my tongue, especially after remembering my agreement with Blaze. We were to not get involved.
"Did you know where exactly Roy went?" Kim’s next question tugged me out of my thoughts and I wore a neutral expression on as I shook my head. I actually didn’t know where he went, but if I knew, I wasn’t sure it would make any difference if I reveal it to Kim. He bit on his bottom lip for a moment before sighing.
"Did he go alone? Or with Archie?" He asked and the reason why he was asking these questions suddenly made sense. It was because he was clearly worried Roy was someone spending his rut somewhere.
I shook my head with a sympathetic smile on.
"No idea."
Kim and I sat in silence till he mentioned wanting to rest. Instead of riding up and leaving, I closed the distance between us and took his hand in mine to squeeze around it. I didn’t need to say a thing, this was assurance enough.
After that, I slipped off his bed and existed his bedroom.
