Chapter 317: husband?
Jules’ pov
Blaze was fast asleep when I opened my eyes and his arm was draped over my middle firmly even though he was deep in slumber, that was yet to change since he returned back to me, like he believed one day he’d wake up and be gone. I reached up and brushed his hair out of his face, feeling my heart swell up with contentment and so much more emotions at once.
When I leaned forward to kiss his forehead, he mumbled low in his throat and nuzzled my throat and my chest expanded with warmth as I lazily ran my fingers through his hair, sliding my leg over his hips. His hold around my waist significantly tightened and I knew he was starting to wake up. I kissed his eyes and nose just as he blinked his eyes open, his dark eyes locking with mine. I bit on my bottom lip before flashing him a beaming grin.
"Hi."
Instead of responding, he rolled over across the bed, taking me along with his body till I laid splayed over him. I shook my head fondly and sat up across his waist just as his hold slid down my back to settle over my ass.
"Your ass keeps getting fatter every day, this means I’d always be well fed." He blurted out, voice thick with sleep and I rolled my eyes and tried shoving his hands off me while my stomach did a ridiculous flip.
"That’s a weird way to say ’Good morning’ but I guess I’ll take it." I mumbled but he only rolled his eyes, not paying me any mind.
"Did you sleep well, husband?" He said next and I’d have fallen off his body if he wasn’t holding me right now. I spluttered for a few moments, cheeks filling up with heat as I tried to glare at him.
"Blaze! You can’t call me that, we aren’t married yet." I called out and he only hummed, eyes slowly trailing over the expanse of my bare chest and stomach. I only had a pair of shorts on, one which he slipped on me after I fell asleep against him in the bath we shared last night.
