The [Incinerating Beam] was a powerful skill that can allow Aaliyah to release the incinerating fire in a straight line in a short distance. It was very lethal and could penetrate hard objects easily.

The tough skull of the Luminous Giant Toad was directly pierced by it.

Its brain was fried as the beam of incinerating fire entered its head and came out of its throat.

The Luminous Giant Toad fell with a loud thud. Two continuous lethal attacks from the enraged Aaliyah was simply not something it could tank, even if it has been upgraded due to it being a demonized beast.

Even though there was a huge difference in strength, a Gold Grade Beast was still a Gold Grade Beast. It was not something that a lower grade beast could defeat easily. They have lethal skills befitting of their title as Golden King Beast after all.

Miguel emerged from the ground a moment later.

Looking at the decimation around, he felt lucky that he was able to escape in time.

At this moment, he looked at Aaliyah and noticed that her emotion seemed to still be in turmoil.

For a moment, he even saw a tear getting evaporated at the corner of her eyes.

Looking at her current state, Miguel knew that she had gone berserk, worrying about his well-being from the toad’s earlier attack.

She no longer even cared whether the Luminous Giant Toad was dead or not, at this moment, she still continued to rain a valley of [Fireball] and [Fire Arrows] towards it.

She extended her arms and prepared to cast another [Incinerating Beam] towards the Luminous Giant Toad’s head.

Seeing that, Miguel knew that mere words alone would not be able to calm her down.

Without waiting for her to cast the skill again, he used [Flame Jump] and appeared directly behind her.

Ignoring the temperature around her, he extended his arm and grabbed her arm forcefully.

With his strength, it was not a problem for him to grab her arm at all. This was because Aaliyah was an elemental beast, and not a beast that relies on their physical strength to fight. Of course, this doesn’t mean that her physique was weak, it was just that Miguel was very strong at this moment.

The next moment, Miguel surprisingly pulled her to his embrace.

Hugging her tightly, Miguel conveyed comfort that could not be said in words.

And for some reason, Aaliyah seemed to have felt this comfort as well.

Her emotions gradually settled down, at the next moment, one of her arms suddenly pushed Miguel away.

"You’re alright," she muttered with a relieved sigh.

Her mind shifted, focusing on her hand that was still in Miguel’s hand.

Miguel nodded his head as he said, "Thank you for the he-"

Miguel’s words were cut short as Aaliyah directly transformed into a streak of light that traveled towards the jet-black grimoire.

Miguel shook his head with a smile upon seeing her actions. He raised his hand and noticed a slight burn on it, as well as on his chest. However, the pain was bearable and he did not blame Aaliyah for it. It would also heal in a few days anyways.

Speaking of healing, he should also probably create a new skill later that can heal his injuries like this.

Anyways, Miguel finally shifted his attention to the new logs on his jet-black grimoire. A smile surfaced on his face a moment later, seeing how massive the rewards were.

Due to the Luminous Giant Toad being a demonized beast, and with this new evaluation remark, Miguel was not surprised that the Experience Points had reached this terrifying amount at all.

He thought that this should be normal considering how dangerous the battle was earlier for both him and Aaliyah. If they were hit by just one casual attack of the toad, they would surely be done for.

Aaliyah knew of this fact, and hence, when the toad targeted Miguel, and knew that his shield broke apart, Aaliyah lost her composure immediately.

The World’s Will has ruled that it was impossible for them to win against the Demonized Luminous Giant Toad, but they still won, earning them the Unbelievable Performance rating.

If Aaliyah had not ’erupted’ time, catching the toad off-guard after it attacked Miguel, the battle might have been prolonged and the outcome might not have been the same.

However, if anyone were to hear his thoughts at this moment, they would surely strangle him to death. An Outstanding Performance rating was already enough to make them crazy, and yet here he was acting nonchalant about an Unbelievable Performance rating. Perhaps, none of them might have even heard of such a rating at all, and yet, Miguel only ’felt’ that this was normal.

What a freak!

Anyways, Miguel ranked all the ratings he received so far based on the experience he gained upon receiving them. From lowest to greatest experience points he received, they were Normal, Good, Outstanding, Perfect, and the Unbelievable, which he only received right now.

According to Erika, Normal was the most common evaluation, Good was rare, Outstanding was very rare and only geniuses could pull off something like this from time to time. As for Perfect, it was kind of a legend according to her and no one in her generation had achieved such an evaluation yet.

The rarity of these evaluations seemed to be reversed in Miguel’s situation though.

Probably because he always fought those of a higher level than him, or even fought them head-on directly without using his beast most of the time.

On the other hand, these three new logs were then followed by a series of others.

Following that, the leveling light engulfed Miguel and the grimoire. He advanced to Advance Apprentice Rank quite quickly, and he reckoned that his Intermediate Grade Bronze was not that far-off in upgrading to Advance Bronze Grade as well.

As for Aaliyah, she had finally upgraded her level, multiplying her strength a few folds.

If she had this level when they fought the demonized Luminous Giant Toad earlier, she would surely be able to solo it, and be able to kill it even without Miguel’s providing ’distraction’.

Anyways, the new logs did not stop there.

Earning a Perfect Performance evaluation would sometimes net him some extra rewards. The Unbelievable Performance must also be the same.
