I Can Contract Beauties

The blinding light that the Luminous Giant Toad emitted was very bright. It was to the point that Miguel who was a few meters away was still blinded by it. And Aaliyah, who was right behind the Luminous Giant Toad could only close her eyes in response, the [Incinerating beam] was delayed and was only fired by her at the last second.

However, at that point, her target, the massive Luminous Giant Toad was no longer in the original location in front of her. Instead, along with that blinding light, it actually moved at extreme speed, and arrived in front of Miguel almost in an instant.

With his eyes tightly closed from the blinding light, Miguel should have not been able to see the Luminous Giant Toad in front of him. Fortunately, the [Divine Sense] was still on full blast, allowing him to sense the invading presence on his sphere of vision that the [Divine Sense] provided.

The moment he felt the Luminous Giant Toad arriving in front of him, Miguel did not even wait for it to attack before he used [Shadow Steps].

However, the blinding light made by the Luminous Giant Toad at the center made it so that there were no other shadows around him at this point. The shadows were out of his degree of influence.

Fortunately, this was not Miguel’s only option.

In terms of skills that could allow him to escape in an instant, there was still [Earth Escape] and [Flame Jump].

However, the Luminous Giant Toad would simply not allow him to cast his skills just like that.

The moment it arrived in front of Miguel, it immediately raised its webbed foot and slapped it towards him directly.

Miguel’s pupils constricted behind his shut eye-lids the moment he sensed the Luminous Giant Toad’s action.

Having no time to cast his escape or movement skills, Miguel did not waste any more time and hurriedly activated his newly improved Absolute Shield.

BAM!

A resounding explosion echoed in the surroundings at the next instant.

The webbed feet of the Luminous Giant Toad struck the newly erected Absolute Shield.

Miguel, who was inside the Absolute Shield, felt his heart palpitating in astonishment.

The Absolute Shield actually showed signs of being cracked and broken through by the sheer force of its attack.

It must be noted that only Aaliyah had shown such capabilities so far, and it was only due to the nature of her Incinerating Fire.

However, considering that the Level 3 Silver Grade Luminous Giant Toad has become demonized, and has become at least twice as strong as before, it was indeed normal for it to break the Absolute Shield of an Intermediate Apprentice Rank Summoner.

In fact, the breaking of Absolute Shield was pretty normal during these kinds of instances.

In the first place, the sole purpose of having the Absolute Shield was for the contracted beasts to fight to their heart’s content without needing to worry about the well-being of their summoner during a battle.

It was a normal knowledge that the Absolute Shield was truly not ’absolute’ and has its own limitations. Every grimoire summoner knew that if met with a strong opponent, the Absolute Shield would still break apart like fragile glass.

Hence, when they meet a strong opponent, the first action that Grimoire Summoners take would not be to fight, but instead, escape the area as soon as possible. No one wants to court death after all.

Miguel was an anomaly. Instead of searching for ways to escape, he actually decided to confront the Demonized Luminous Giant Toad.

In fact, with his current rank as an Intermediate Apprentice Summoner, he should have not even think of fighting a Silver Grade Beast at all.

Seeing that it showed signs of breaking, Miguel did not wait for his demise inside the shield, and instead used [Earth Escape] to burrow underground. With the Absolute Shield tanking the Luminous Giant Toad’s attack, Miguel successfully casted the skill this time around, leaving the shield behind as it broke apart at the next second.

Appearing a few meters away from the ground, Miguel looked at the Luminous Giant Toad and Aaliyah who had already arrived behind it.

Worry and anger flashed past her glowing red eyes as her aura rose to the peak.

She glared at the Luminous Giant Toad in hatred as the Incinerating Fire slowly enveloped her like an elegant red dress. Her eyes turned bright red, her red hair rising as though it was lifted by the wind.

The Luminous Giant Toad that has been demonized should no longer feel fear, however, right at this moment, that emotion rose within as though a tidal wave.

It shivered in fright as it felt the aura of death right behind it.

At this moment, all it wanted to do was escape.

However, before it could do so, a terrifying explosion resounded right behind it.

[Infernal Incineration]

On the other hand, seeing what Aaliyah was about to do, Miguel, who had just emerged from the ground, had his pupils constrict in fear and did not even wait to see what would happen next as he immediately used [Earth Escape] once more, this time, burying himself as deep as he could beneath the ground, in fear that he would be caught up with Aaliyah’s skill.

[Skill: Infernal Incineration (Level 1)

Description/Effects: Release an explosion of incinerating fire in a ten meter radius with the user as the center. Those that came into contact with this fire will be incinerated quickly. ]

The next moment, the earth trembled and even Miguel who was already ten meters deep could feel the rise in temperature around him.

Above the ground, with Aaliyah as the center, Incinerating Fire quickly exploded out of her.

The Luminous Giant Toad who was only a meter away from her was not able to dodge the terrifying attack. It was engulfed by her Incinerating Fire, letting out a painful croaking scream not befitting that of a demonized beast.

It’s luminescent skin slowly lost its luster as it’s whole body showed signs of being melted away.

The Luminous Giant Toad did not give up, and was about to slap the ground to move away to escape from the fire demoness as quickly as possible.

However, Aaliyah, who was at the peak of her anger, would simply not allow the Luminous Giant Toad to escape.

She flashed in front of the massive toad, stepped on its massive head, and pressed her palm directly on its forehead.
