Chapter 219: _Protect My People.
I opened my eyes and saw that I wasn’t in any place familiar, instead I stood barefooted in a field of flowers. The moon was bright in the sky and the stars seemed to shine in a different way.
I felt tired, lost and broken, but this place comforted my troubled heart. I looked around because I was indeed weak and needed some rest.
There was a tree, tall and wide, its leaves moving gently against the night breeze. I walked toward it, feeling the cold grass beneath my feet.
I sat under the tree as I pulled my knees to my chest, resting my head against the bark and I closed my eyes.
Suddenly, I felt a presence, forcing my tired eyes open. There she stood, in front of me, a woman dressed in a white flowing dress, her long silver hair dancing in the wind.
Her skin was pale and smooth, her eyes shone like the stars. The moon cast its lights on her, making her even more beautiful than she was and she radiated peace.
"You are troubled, child." She said, her voice soft and beautiful to the ears. I didn’t know her, but something about her made me want to tell her about my troubles, my fear.
"I don’t know what I am anymore." I whispered, tears threatening to fall down my cheeks.
"You don’t have to cry, you are exactly who you were meant to be." She replied, smiling gently.
I shook my head. "I’m a hybrid, a monster, an abomination. If the pack finds out, they’ll never accept me." I said, looking down as if something on the ground interested me.
"You think so little of yourself, when you have powers. Powers greater than you can imagine." She moved closer, bending down to meet my eyes.
