Reaper's Resurgence: A System Reset

B4 | Chapter 77

All Around the Dimensional Grid

Almost everyone across the entire Dimensional Grid watches with bated breath as The Reaper and the Hound of the Apocalypse fight it out within the Tier 5 Dungeon. Whether they’re weak Tier 1s or powerful Tier 5s themselves. All the way from Legendary Feat holders known across the Grid to no name citizens of random nations.

But even amongst these people, the Legendary Feat holders who know the two fighters personally all show their own unique reactions based on their relationships with the two.

The Ancient Dragon laughs and even records the battle so that he can watch it later. For no reason besides the fact that he’s never seen such an interesting battle before in his entire life.

Meanwhile the Ancestral Dragon, his mate, simply watches the battle in silence. Feeling nothing more than curiosity about who might win the battle.

After all, she lost against the Hound of the Apocalypse herself. So she wants to know if the one who defeated her will win the entire thing or not.

Then there’s the one with the Title of Devourer who has been struggling ever since learning that there is a real devourer out there. And no matter how much Noah watches, he can’t help but look around himself in fear that Crystal may show up out of nowhere and kill him for usurping her Title. Just like she slaughtered several other Class S species near the top of the leaderboards.

Which has led to widespread celebrations all around the Dimensional Grid thanks to the permanent death of the Ancient Terror, Ignivara, at the hands of Crystal Nightshade and her daughter. Along with fear and despair across the Holy Empire and other holy organizations thanks to the death of the Holy One at her hands.

But they’re not the only ones feeling fear as almost every single Class S in the Dimensional Grid feels genuine fear as they watch the battle. Both at the two combatants who are completely immune to one type of attack, magic or physical damage, and at the memory of the mother and wife of the two and what she’s done.

And more importantly, the fact that it’s clear to all those watching that the three are allied together thanks to being a family. Making for the most powerful force in the entire Dimensional Grid.

A fact that is made all the clearer as they watch the battle between the two. As the Hound of the Apocalypse suddenly begins to turn his entire body into nothing but darkness energy before resuming his bombardment of attacks. And this time his attacks all begin to deal actual damage to the Reaper since they’re magical attacks.

This tale has been pilfered from NovelFire. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

But this doesn’t stop The Reaper, who simply teleports away from all of the attacks and slices through the darkness energy with her polearm. Somehow finding purchase even easier than before thanks to his body mass being greater in this form, having spread out more with his darkness energy.

Through this the viewers all watch the two manage to make more and more attacks land on each other.

And yet, none of them deal enough damage to be a problem. Both because the two either heal or reverse the damage before any can build up and because they’re so tough in the first place.

Every Class S being across the Dimensional Grid makes sure to take notes on their battle just in case they end up facing one of the two in the future. But no one amongst the viewers watches closer than Astrid Knight, who feels nothing more than awe as she watches her father and sister fight.

Astrid has always felt curious about her and Lexi’s father ever since hearing about and meeting him. Even if she doesn’t want either of them to know about her thoughts.

Because he’s the Hound of the Apocalypse, and things would be a lot more complicated if everyone knew about their relationship. This update ıs available on novèlfire.net

But now things are different. Everyone already knows about their relationship as father and daughter, and there’s nothing to hide anymore.

And to top that off, there isn’t anyone who can pose a threat when all of them are working together.

No one except for the Corrupted beings or a Quantum Being, that is.

At the end of the day though, Astrid has been very happy about this dungeon championship ever since it began. Whether that’s due to her being able to see her mother again, thanks to seeing her sister more during it than she’s seen in a while even if she hasn’t been able to talk to her directly during it, or even seeing different sides of her father.

And this is even considering how many embarrassing things Lexi has told the entire Dimensional Block about her. Which Astrid is determined to get back at her for somehow when she returns from the dungeon.

At the same time though, people are already beginning to flock to Dimensional Block #108 to see Astrid and the other people of The Retreat. All because it’s where The Reaper lives. Leading to the rapid expansion of the nation even as Lexi continues to fight within the dungeon.

One blow after another, one hour after another, the two Class S Dimensional Champions continue battling nonstop. All without seemingly growing tired at all.

The two just continue to fight even as entire days begin to pass. Clearly showcasing their endurance for all to see as they heal or reverse any damage they receive.

But nothing lasts forever, and after the two battle for nearly three days straight, things take a turn. As the Quantum Reaper raises her spear into the air and begins to call quantum lightning down from the sky that coats her body and increases her strength and speed. And to combat that, the Hound of the Apocalypse begins to cover the entire battlefield in darkness. With the only light being that of the light shining in Alexia’s eyes and in the quantum lightning running through her body.

Leading to the finale of the long battle at last.
