B4 | Chapter 78
Alexia
Well this battle has been a lot more fun than I expected it to be. And a lot longer and more difficult at that.
After all, while I can tell that Lucas only just recently ascended to being a Class S species, I can also tell that he hasn’t even fully stabilized himself there. Meaning he hasn’t gotten used to the power entirely just yet.
But still. I find myself feeling rather thankful for him. Since I’ve learned a few new tricks of my own during this battle.
Like using quantum lightning to enhance my own body’s physical strength and speed to counter a magic-immune opponent. And I’ve also leveled up a few of my skills in particular a good chunk in this battle.
Specifically Quantum Reversal and Quantum Displacement.
My ‘healing’ and teleportation skills.
But they’re not the only ones as I’ve also leveled up Quantum Adaptation and even received adaptations from all of Lucas’s attacks. Which are making them deal less and less damage with each blow over time. To the point that I don’t think he can even beat me anymore.
Not without one last major attack.
Then there’s Quantum Regeneration as well, which is constantly working to increase my passive regeneration capabilities.
Now, though, as I coat my entire body in quantum lightning and find Lucas turning the entire area around us into a massive field of darkness? I find myself feeling pleasantly surprised.
Because the darkness actually hurts, marking it as a new adaptation that I haven’t received yet. Which means the battle isn’t quite over just yet.
A smile faintly spreads across my face as glitchy purple lightning spreads across my entire body and no doubt shines from my eyes. Then I spin my polearm and close my eyes for a moment, just sensing for Lucas’s presence even as the darkness in the field around me burns away at my body.
And the moment I find him, I teleport straight up to him and swing my polearm straight down at him. Only for my polearm to clash with some blade made out of pure darkness. A blade that seems to be drawing in all the darkness from the field around us.
But it doesn’t stop there as our clash begins to send out powerful shockwaves all around us.
Purple and pitch black shockwaves that tear up everything in our surroundings, and even ourselves. With all the damage done to the two of us repeatedly healing at a rapid pace as we use our separate healing-type skills.
The shockwaves continue to blast out from our clash before I find my soul finally beginning to drain away. Even with the soul I’ve been getting from Luna.
And I can also sense that Lucas’s mana reserves are starting to run low as well.
But the most shocking thing of all this is that Lucas’s attack is actually starting to push my own back a little bit.

Until a certain bat rushes in out of nowhere, teleporting straight behind Lucas and biting him in the neck, making him grunt in pain before my own attack begins to push his back. And with one last clap of quantum thunder, my polearm splits straight through the sword of darkness and cuts Lucas in half. Leaving little bolts of quantum lightning dancing along his body around the wounds on both halves of his body.
Lucas smiles at me with what looks like pride clear on his face. Then his body breaks apart into particles, signifying his exit from the dungeon.
To my surprise, I find a Legendary Feat appearing in my vision after killing him.
| Legendary Feat – The Slayer of the Anti-magic Hound As the first to slay a being completely immune to magic, you are given an immunity to one third of all magic damage.
