Chapter 456: My rich friend.
"Here we are, your husbands modern Beverly hills mansion with a view to die for." Ian said to her as they were allowed into the gated mansion by two security guards after Chi Lian’s identity was confirmed. As the cars meandered through the long driveway and finally stopped in the allocated parking lot were six fancy cars were sitting.
"Wow." Chi Lian gasped.
"I know, wow indeed, when this house was put on the market at least three actresses, two billionaires, one director and a Saudi prince made offers for it. This is one of the most expensive areas of Beverly hills and rarely do people sell properties here." Ian told her.
"How do you know this?" she asked him.
"My cousin owns a real estate company dealing in only luxury properties and they handled the sale. I came by back then but sadly I could not afford it." He pouted. "The race was between your husband, the Saudi prince and the two billionaires. I don’t know what your husband offered to the previous owner but whatever it was, it got him the deal. This mansion is built on eighteen thousand square foot, it has eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms. There are two living rooms, two kitchens, two swimming pools, one on the roof and another another close to the Zen garden. The outside floors were constructed with Indian limestone, the glasses were imported from Europe and so were the oak floors. Everything in the house is automated, custom made and the house design and arrangement adopted a minimalist setting.
And when it comes to the views, it’s simply stunning." Ian stopped talking and he whistled. "It overlooks a cliff and you can see the ocean from above as you sunbathe from the roof. The back part of the house gives you views of the mountains and woods. If I could live here they would have to carry me out with a crane or something."
Chi Lian was not the only to stare in fascination, as her colleagues exited the cars they were thunder struck too.
Six maids lined up outside, three to one side and three to another. At the entrance of the house a butler was standing with his hands folded and waiting patiently for the guests to approach. The line up of maids was a norm that she was used to, it was a common occurrence in the Jun house so she was not bothered by it.
Chian Ximeng too was unbothered but the singers, models, photographer and make up artists were blown away. This was their entry into a brand new world, one they had never seen.
