Chapter 425: Preparing her husband’s breakfast
For the first time ever since she got married to Muyang, Chi Lian woke up early the following day and prepared breakfast to go for her husband.
With the guidance of the chef she baked some swiss rolls with sweet strawberry jam filling. She prepared some scallion crepes, and some steamed bao buns. Finally, she brewed some coffee with the beans from the virtual farm and poured into a portable vacuum flask.
It was her first time cooking for him, for anyone really since she had not participated much in the kitchen since childhood. Ever since he attempted to cook for her and he failed, she had been watching a lot of online videos and learning various recipes.
She observed the packed foods with pride in her eyes. To her mind and tongue this was a successful attempt but she was no expert so she did have some doubts.
"Chef, do you think he will like them?" she asked for the fifth time in under thirty minutes.
"You have done a wonderful job young madam. I have never seen anyone with hands as fast as yours." the chef replied to her with reassurance and praise dripping from his voice. "The young master will be very happy to eat this breakfast."
Chi Lian made a resolution in her mind. She looked at the chef and she said, "I am going to prepare my husband’s breakfast everyday for a while until I leave for my business trip."
"Yes young madam." the chef answered and he bowed respectfully.
Chi Lian left the kitchen with a spring in her step. She returned to the bedroom to shower and prepare for work. Her husband was just returning from his early morning workout.
