Chapter 177: Another truth
In her bedroom, an uneasy silence, as heavy as an elephant surrounded Muyang and Chi Lian who were sitting on the bed, for she had nowhere to begin and he had no idea what to say. Both of them had a secret, one that they worried would change the course of their relationship.
As the seconds went by, the unease grew, nourished by the fright in the air.
"I..." they both went at the same time and stopped to let the other go first. A new silence followed the awkwardness.
"Host, the more time you spend beating around the bush, the more time you add onto the search for your son. Tell him, he may be of help."
Heeding T4’s advice, "I will go first," Chi Lian said quickly.
Muyang nodded in agreement and he looked at her expectantly but somewhat worried.
She stood up from the bed and nervously walked around the room with her arms hugging her body tightly.
Muyang could not stand to see her like this, when she passed by him, he pulled her into his arms and sat back down with her on top of his laps. He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned his head against her back.
"It’s okay." He said softly, "Whatever it is, I promise that I am going nowhere. We can deal with it together."
