Chapter 176: Time to tell the truth.
A few people in the living room where puzzled for a moment, what sound? But a few seconds later, they could hear it as well, the loud howling which sounded like the shrieking of a demon being banished back to the darkest pits of hell.
"I think it’s coming from the basement." Chi Wei looked in the direction of the basement curiously. "Is something down there?"
"Do you think it’s haunted?" Chi Zimo asked nervously and someone slapped him on the head.
"Ouch, what have I done?" he asked, feeling very aggrieved.
"You are stupid." Chi Rui retorted.
"Well keep hitting me on the head and I will become stupider." he mumbled.
Mama Chi simply frowned at her sons and looked away towards the basement. "Do you think something is going on down there, the butler did say that Chi-Chi is in there. Should we check?" she looked at her husband questioningly.
"I think we should check." Papa Chi agreed with her worriedly. Who knew if their daughter was injured or in trouble down there?
Everyone in the living room was certainly curious about the happenings in the basement. More so Muyang who had a feeling that the kidnapped doctor was down there. What exactly had Chi Lian discovered? Could she be in trouble? So many questions were swirling in his mind.
"I will go down first." Chi Wei said solemnly, looking like the official sacrificial lamb because he was the eldest brother.
Muyang stood up and said, "I will go with you."
