Chapter 58: Over a cup of tea
"Uhh.. Sorry— what?" Coco blinked rapidly, her body frozen in her spot as she stared at the white haired woman behind the glass display.
She came inside the Magia Pierre to ask Mrs. Tani to buy some of the fruits first before she starts selling them to the vendors in the market and also, she wants to ask her if dragon fruits are a thing in their world.
However, she was slapped in the face with the relieved and thankful expression on the woman’s face.
"Would you mind having a conversation about it over tea?" Mrs. Tani asked, a pleading look in her eyes, making Coco even more confused.
"I think she’s planning something sinister!" The garden fairy perched on Coco’s head exclaimed, "Don’t be fooled, Coco! People with pretty faces are usually the baddest ones!"
Uhuh.. That’s true though. Coco agreed with Lala’s statement in her mind.
"Well, if you’ll tell me what kind of tea we will be having." Coco said, her voice brimming with reluctance, "This is sudden, but if it’s really important then I’m willing to listen..?"
Mrs. Tani’s face brightened up when Coco agreed, albeit reluctantly, but still agreed nonetheless.
"Yes! Of course, of course, it will be worth your time!" Mrs. Tani exclaimed, the tone of her voice holding a promise that somehow assured Coco and Lala, "Come to the back with me, I’ll prepare you some tea."
