"Hey babe!" I gave him a wide grin doing a short sprint to the door as I allowed him to engulf me in his embrace "I didn’t want him coming into the room for fear he could pick up Kurtis’s scent "Did you sleep good,".
"Better than ever!" he sighed dropping a kiss on my forehead "The legal team is meeting already and I came to fetch you. Are you ready?" he asked.
Thankfully, I had anticipated that there would be a meeting today and had gotten up on time to do my hair and makeup. Also, I tried calling Xavier but there was no response. He wasn’t taking or returning my calls and I was bothered.
"Is something wrong?" Noah must have noticed the worry on my brow. "Are you anxious about anything? Don’t worry, about yesterday I can easily handle the situation because I am still mistrustful of my father. The sudden change is something to worry about. So, I would first of all analyze the situation and know the best way to respond,".
He was indirectly telling me not to say a word and I was fine with it. I’ve caused too many problems already, so I understand his reserve. "Don’t worry, Noah," I came out of the room and put my hands through his "I will not say a word today, I promise but just keep them on a tight leash and you shouldn’t be suspicious of your father. The Grand Lycan may share similar views with me about this pack that you just don’t know off and I’m willing to bet that he’s so excited about this too,".
"I’ll trust you, dear," he nodded and we continued walking in silence. Almost at the entrance of the hall, I remembered I was going to ask him an important question today.
"Hey babe!" I called his attention making him stop walking "I was going to ask you about Janet. It’s been a few days now and we haven’t gone for counselling. Has she reached out to you because she hasn’t to me,".
"Yeah, she did yesterday and I told her to put everything on hold now. I also asked if she could initiate a refund since I’m not sure we’ll be able to finish up with the counselling sessions but she says she doesn’t give a refund and I spent a lot of money to bring her here. I can’t let it go...So, we’ll continue when things ease up on our end and she seems to be enjoying the pack too,".
