"That was intense," I whispered to Noah as soon as the hall emptied and it was just us with the Grand Lycan and Nora that was remaining. From the corner of my eyes, I saw the Grand Lycan making his way to us. He had a pleasant smile on his face.
"Your Majesty," I greeted him with a smile.
"Luna!" he nodded and turned to Noah "Thank you for giving me the floor back there, it felt so refreshing,".
"Still Dad, you shouldn’t have gone too far and fired him. He was only looking out for his father. He’s one of the best we have in the pack and I will have to bring him back on. You should understand that doing this might make the people to be against us, especially with him. He’s the people’s favourite,".
"And he should be indispensable, Noah," the Grand Lycan shrugged without remorse "I’ve told you several times that no one is indispensable in this pack. The elders and pack officials have served for decades but we cannot tolerate any weak links, corruption or anything that threatens the throne. As a king, you must learn to make difficult decisions and I hope you learn it with everything happening. Your Luna seems to know better, right?"
