Chapter 29: Curious Lizzy
The first day of the final exams ends smoothly.
Allynna left the classroom after she handed over the Science answer sheet. She purposely avoided Lizzy and Helan, who bombarded her with many questions about leaving her house without their knowledge last night.
After exiting the exam room, she took her bag from the locker and immediately exited the school building. But just as Allynna thought she could get rid of the two of them, she heard Lizzy’s voice calling out to her from behind before she could get past the main gate.
Allynna laughed inwardly as she kept her step, pretending she didn’t hear her.
"Gosh! How could that girl finish solving science exam this fast?" Allynna quickened her steps.
"Miss Allynna Frost, you dare run from me?" Lizzy shouted as she ran after Allynna. Once she reached her, she continued, "Ally, now you choose; do you want to tell yourself, or do you want me to force you?"
Allynna laughed before saying, "Wow! Lizzy, you finish your paper so fast, huh!" She deliberately diverted the conversation to avoid her question.
"Oh, come on, Ally... How could you forget that science is my favorite subject? Young Miss, now answer my question. Please stop avoiding me," Lizzy, who was walking beside her as they walked through the school gates, suddenly stopped in her tracks when she saw her best friend walking in another direction, not towards the path of their house.
Lizzy was utterly puzzled.
