Chapter 30: Fiance
Allynna, who was deep in thought about her friend Lizzy, was surprised to hear Leon finally speak to her. She turns her gaze, looking at him.
A smile appeared on her face before she answered, "Easy. Thank you, sir..." Allynna was referring to Leon, who, somehow, had transferred the history lesson into her mind.
Even though Allynna felt that she had cheated on the final history exam earlier, she felt grateful to this man who had given her a sense of calm and some knowledge. He deserves a thank you from her.
"That’s good," Leon said, his gaze still focused on the street.
"Sir Leon, thank you so much."
Leon glances at her, "You don’t have to say thank you two times, Miss Allynna."
Allynna silently gulped when their eyes met. She didn’t expect him to suddently look at her. "No, I mean... I thank you because you came to pick me up," she said awkwardly while squeezing her own hand on her thigh and swiftly turning her gaze ahead, hiding her blushing face.
Leon didn’t respond to her words; he returned his focus to the road while driving his car at a moderate speed.
Meanwhile, Allynna, who was used to this man who rarely spoke, no longer said anything. Along the way, she was silent, but her thoughts were not.
