But after waiting for a while, like an eternity... nothing happened. Instead, Rose hears Evan’s calm voice near her ear, "My pretty wifey, go use your pajamas, or you will catch a cold!" Then she can feel Evan’s warm lips landing on her forehead.
Rose was dumbfounded. How could this man just let her go? Was he really not tempted after seeing her half-naked body?
She hurriedly marched to the bathroom, embarrassed to expect something she really wanted.
"Don’t take too long, Wifey! It’s already midnight... we need to sleep early." The corner of Evan’s lips curled up to form a gentle smile looking at his little rabbit, who walked fast to the bathroom.
When Rose came out of the bathroom, she saw Evan was already sleeping under the blanket. A wry smile framed her face. This man really had no intention of touching her. She sighs deeply as she slowly walks to the bed and stops at Evan’s side.
Rose sat beside the bed and looked at him silently. The worry and jealousy that had graced Evan’s face since they were at the restaurant were now no trace. His face looks so calm and handsome as always.
She was uncertain what had made this man overreact with Sean. Seeing Evan want to kill Sean with his sharp gaze the entire night made her concerned. Was it because something in the past stirred up Evan’s temper when Sean seemed attracted to her? She does not know and does not want to know. She only hoped her presence didn’t drag Evan and Sean’s friendship into trouble.
Still watching Evan’s calm face, Rose’s eyes landed on his nose. Her heart started to beat faster than usual... This is not right! This is not what she is expecting. When she had not managed to calm her heart, suddenly, her hand slowly raised to touch his sharp nose. It’s as if her hands are moving independently without her brain’s command. Damn! She paused right a few inches before her hand touched his nose.
