Chapter 46: Heir.
As their cars finally rolled back into the family estate, a plan was already in Joseph’s mind, so when they finally got out of the car, Pablo went forward and asked him to follow him. They went into the house, up to the second floor, and there it was, something that Joseph kind of thought about, that Pablo would spend money on.
It was a spacious office, everything made with fine wood and packed with luxurious furniture, and the office chair that was behind the desk was more like a throne.
"Operation room." Pablo said as he sat down. "So, we’re going to rob them?" He asked as Joseph still eyed this whole thing and just got more frustrated that Pablo really spent money on the most useless things... though he sat down, looking like a king on his throne.
"Yeah, not just steal but at the same time send a message too." He leaned back, and it was surely luxurious, the leather cushioning just felt like he was sitting on clouds. "It is obvious we can’t steal the whole warehouse, we don’t have the capacity for that or trucks, so we send out the guys, they steal and pack as many as they can into the SUVs, and when they are done, they burn down the whole thing."
"I like it, but burning it down wouldn’t just send a message but a war message." Pablo said as his leg started to shake a little. "I don’t think we are, how should I say it... strong enough to react to any attack or stand up against it. We have no influence nor enough people... only the Cassian name."
"Yeah we have nothing but a legacy... that’s exactly why we are ahead of everyone. And not just that, the DSA is obviously hiding our tracks, which is another advantage." Joseph said as he looked around.
"I thought about the same but I can really see how we can use it." Pablo said as he tried to puzzle it together. "Like it is obvious they are doing it to not cause panic, but I am sure that they are planning an operation not just against us but the whole criminal underworld. That’s where their silence comes from."
"Exactly, but what did we give them?"
Pablo got confused by the question because to be truthful, he was only out for two days and they did nothing big so far, no connection, no nothing.
"Maybe evidence? That agent Olivia, she saw you, us, she can give information about what happened and how exactly happened, also the park ranger, then of course what we have just done."
