Chapter 43: Greatness.
There were so many thoughts as the cars sped off, swirling through traffic through red lights, to get out of the area as fast as possible, thoughts that were about the future, about what will happen next... at least in Pablo’s head, because Joseph seemed to be still calm. He was leaning back with his closed eyes, like he was just taking a snooze in the middle of this whole thing.
But Pablo himself wasn’t that calm, because now they were truly going to be all over the place and what they did was the exact opposite of what he wanted.
Silent and sneaky way, which was actually working until they stepped out of the building, but after that, the killing of the officer was big fuck up...
Dashboard cameras, the security cameras all over the street, the buildings, the people walking there and running away when the shots were fired... one look at the footage and it’s obvious who it was...
"Are you worried?" Joseph’s voice came as he leaned forward now and tried to wipe off the blood from his face, because it was irritating him too much, the smell of it, the feeling... that it wasn’t even his own blood.
"A little." He said as he watched him. "I mean it’s not the early 2000s, there are cameras everywhere and just everything has improved, there are drones, face recognition and many other things they can use against us."
Yeah it’s true... and I just hammered her head beyond recognition... but it felt so good. He thought as he finally managed to wipe off a big part of the blood from his face and then turned to Pablo, with a thought he had since they left the park.
"I think they will be overwhelmed."
"Overwhelmed?"
"Linda at the park, the women inside, even Trevor and the others... they all knew I was out, and there was a hint of fear in their eyes, even though I’d been publicly pardoned... so why were they afraid, why did they stutter and hesitate?"
