Chapter 14: They Are Here.
They just stood there stunned and frozen down, like that door was magically opened by itself, but a question was raised in them, which was... how long was that open for?
Like, between them and the door was at least 30 meters. It was a big warehouse, and while they had the time to argue and think about the possibility that Joseph’s story is true, the door opened without even one noise coming through it or they noticing it.
There was no fucking way something happened outside and not even a single voice came, like, it was literally impossible. Dozens of guards were outside, equipped with assault rifles and submachine guns and pistols. There is no fucking way they didn’t even let out a shot or a shout or a voice if something happened.
"Go... check it." Vincente’s voice came as he now aimed his gun at the door, and immediately Gabbana and Jelena too aimed there while their heartbeat was through the roof.
"Yeah... it’s a good idea..." Joseph said in a mocking way while he was too staring at the door, but he didn’t even see what was happening, just saw the sun coming through a bit from the door... and well, it didn’t help that he said that, because Jelena immediately went behind his back and pushed the gun to his head to be ready to kill him.
"Go!" Vincent shouted at the guard, and well, fuck, he wasn’t signed up for some bullshit like this, and it was all written on his face.
It was funny that the "untouchable" family with many soldiers now was fucking dripping in sweat and was frozen down by an open door.
But shit, it needed to be done and well, the guard raised his submachine gun with another one and started slowly moving toward the door, ready to shoot if something was happening outside. Their steps were slow and deliberate, they were sweating like shit as they were nearing the door, as the silence got bigger and bigger outside.
They went up to the door and, before stepping out, they went to the left and right side like how the police breach into a closed door.
