Chapter 43: Don’t Torture Yourself
Her eyes were increasingly teary seeing the affection given by her husband, making her even more reluctant to torture her husband for too long. Moreover, if all her husband’s cooking was thrown away because she refused to eat, then it could be concluded that she was really a bad person in Matthias’ eyes. Even though she didn’t want to hurt Matthias’ feelings to this extent.
Once again she failed to act coldly to her husband because her husband was too kind. However, it did not mean that she immediately agreed to her husband. Because it could be concluded that her heart was easily melted because of this simple treatment.
"Do you know why I’m always stupid in front of you?" His hand stroked the back of his wife’s hand slowly. "Because being stupid doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing."
"But, you torture yourself. Why do you always make things difficult for yourself just to win over a woman who still hates you until now?"
"I never torture myself just because I do everything related to you. I actually really like it."
Her eyes focused on the bandaged handsome husband’s index finger. She immediately pulled her husband’s finger and caressed the injured finger and blew on it gently.
"Then what’s the point of this? You’re cooking until you hurt yourself again. You’re really annoying, Matthias."
"I really didn’t mean to. Besides, who would want to hurt themselves!"
"Luckily you treated your own wounds before I scolded you."
The sound of happy laughter swept away the tense atmosphere in the living room, making Victoria feel more comfortable being near her husband. Unconsciously, her smile grew wider as she stared at her husband’s handsome face, still shining even though she had gone through a gloomy day.
"Matthias, you are the only man who is so sensitive to me. I actually want to enjoy your cooking."
