Chapter 19: Two Cunning Women
Amber and Matthias’ mother sat facing each other in the living room. Each sipping black coffee, giving each other friendly smiles. Matthias’ mother was very grateful to have someone who still cared about her, even though her own biological son had rarely cared about her since two years ago. She knew the real reason her son hated her so much. Because she did not approve of the marriage of her son and the daughter of her enemy.

Actually, Amber also felt that she was the only woman who was most suitable to be matched with her own close friend. So far, her relationship with Matthias had no problems.
