Because she was under President Crowne’s protection. He had always been with her during her stay in Hong Kong.
Only now that she was away from Sebastian Crowne, he made a move.
"That bastard is surely hard working. He had diligently waited to find the best chance until now." Jazmine laughed and turned slightly.
"Don’t move." The man who had the gun behind her ear warned again. He became tense when he saw a smile blooming on the lips of the woman at the gunpoint. She should have been trembling in fear. Or at the very least... should be shocked? Wouldn’t it be the normal reaction?
The little lowering of guard by the man gave Jazmine enough opening to turn swiftly and with the sharp movement of her wrist, she hit his pressure point at his torso right on the spot. The man didn’t have time to register what was happening before he was knocked down.
"Idiot. I have taken down bigger scoundrels than you." Jazmine’s reflexes were very fast. It was unexpected that a woman with such a docile appearance would possess that sort of talent. Even for a woman who had learned some self-defensive tactics, it was a rarity to survive an ambush from an armed man let alone take him down with such impressive precision.
"President!"
Jazmine heard a scream followed by a couple of shots. At a side, she saw another man being bumped into her car due to the impact of being shot by a bullet fired by Rolf. His hand that was holding a gun loosened, making the weapon fall on the ground. Blood surged out from his arm and he collapsed on the ground groaning.
