Chapter 103: Captain Cassian
Jazmine Harrison’s movements were swift. She rose, her dark green eyes flashed with focus and determination. The guns in her hands were light and weightless. The way she handled them, it was as if she was made for them. As if she had years of practice. And it was true too. In her last life, dangers lurked around every corner. It was a depressing truth—but it was still the truth. The experience of her past life had taught her some valuable skills.
The shots fired one after another. Her fingers moved rapidly on the trigger. The recoil of the gun didn’t even cause her to stagger.
Rolf was too stunned to act."Wait... Let me handle this—"
When Rolf had just stood up, he froze.
Jazmine had fired only four times, and the shocking thing was—not a single one of her bullets missed. There were four men. One bullet hit each, and now each one of them was collapsed and writhing in pain."H-How..." Rolf craned his neck to look at Jazmine, and he was reminded of a certain someone from his time back in the army."C-Captain Cassian?" He could swear that he saw Captain Cassian in the woman for a second. The aura around her was the same as his.
Then Rolf shook his head."No... It can’t be." He must have been delusional. Captain Cassian had no blood relation with Jazmine. He had been her father-in-law in her past life. Still... maybe he had trained her? The possibility made Rolf look at her with a different light in his eyes.
Jazmine turned and faced him."Duck down." Her face was expressionless. Her eyes were cold.
"W-What—" Rolf was still too distracted. His eyes widened when he saw her raise her gun. With no time to argue, he quickly lowered his head.
The next second, a bullet was fired.
