Chapter 1004 - 806: Drunk
"Godmother, what are you going to do tonight?" Lin Wan asked without concern.
"I’m going back to sleep. You should go up quickly, I’m leaving now."
Liang Qian urged Lin Wan to go upstairs while putting on her coat to leave.
Below, Lin Wan was wearing only velvet pants and didn’t dare stay outside any longer. When she got upstairs, Han Yi hadn’t even taken off his clothes and was sprawled out on the bed, fast asleep.
Lin Wan helplessly shook her head, set down some hot water, and then busied herself with taking off Han Yi’s clothes.
He was a heavy six-foot-tall man, and Lin Wan really couldn’t move him.
After a lot of effort, she finally got his clothes off. When Lin Wan lay down, it was already past one in the morning.
Meanwhile, Mei Langchi on the second floor had been vomiting downstairs for quite a while before Xie Lingzhi helped him back to the bedroom.
In the bedroom, Ye Qing didn’t even open her eyes when they came in, sleeping so soundly like a dead pig.
Xie Lingzhi was quite upset seeing this. Before she was told about her condition, Ye Qing wasn’t this sleepy. Now she just eats and sleeps, and when awake, eats again, no different from a lazy pig.
After dealing with her son, there were still the two elders downstairs and the drunken Mei Shuping to handle.
Xie Lingzhi complained endlessly, not knowing who started the drinking, but if they were going to drink, why so much? It’s nothing but trouble for her.
Xie Lingzhi left Mei Langchi’s room, and as soon as she did, Ye Qing on the bed immediately opened her eyes. Ye Qing was sleepy but not a deep sleeper; any slight noise could wake her.
Awake, yes, but she had no energy to move—sleeping for too long makes one lazy.
Being lazy herself didn’t mean Mei Langchi couldn’t move; now he was drunkenly sleepy, his whole body reeking of alcohol.
This intrigued Ye Qing—it’s often said that a hint of alcohol on a man accentuates his charisma. Ye Qing turned over, helped cover Mei Langchi with a quilt, and then realized that Xie Lingzhi hadn’t helped him undress.
Only then did Ye Qing, despite her sleepiness, help Mei Langchi take off his clothes.
The bed, warmed by Ye Qing’s presence, was now heated further by Mei Langchi’s fiery, alcohol-induced body. His thoughts were stirred by Ye Qing’s delicate touches.
Seizing the moment, he wrapped his arms around Ye Qing, rolling over together on the bed. Instead of resisting, Ye Qing happily hugged his neck and offered a kiss on his lips.
This hinted to Mei Langchi what was to follow. Naturally, one thing led to another...
Lin Wan thought she was the latest to sleep tonight, but in fact, it was Xie Lingzhi who went to bed the latest, not lying down until two o’clock, and immediately fell asleep in the next moment.
The next day, the Mei Family collectively slept in, except for Mr. Mei and Old Mrs. Mei; the earliest risers were the two children, Little Star and Hua Hua. After Little Star woke up, Lin Wan dressed her on the bed and then continued to sleep.
Once up, Little Star, sporting two messy little braids, went to her grandfather’s room on the first floor to wake Hua Hua.
The two little ones saw the adults sleeping soundly and dared not speak loudly. Clumsily, Little Star helped Hua Hua get dressed, and the two sneaked out, each taking five cents from their lucky money from last night, without even washing their faces, and went out to find their little buddies.
The rest of the Mei Family didn’t get up until after ten.
Liang Qian, worried about the father and son, came over after nine o’clock, made breakfast for the elders and two kids, and prepared some congee and sour soup for those who drank.
When Lin Wan called Han Yi to get up, he looked puzzled, not even knowing how he ended up upstairs or on the bed last night.
Lin Wan thought she must strictly control Han Yi’s drinking in the future, ensuring he doesn’t get drunk. Otherwise, he could lose himself or even be sold by someone.
Han Yi helplessly shook his head, quickly promising Lin Wan that he wouldn’t drink so much again.
The reason he drank recklessly last night was unusual for him—he usually restrained himself. But last night, he let loose a bit, all because of Mei Langchi’s provocation.
Honestly, a hangover truly feels bad. He didn’t remember much from last night, but today, his stomach felt particularly uncomfortable.
Seeing his complexion was off, Lin Wan knew he was suffering and quickly took him downstairs to eat something to soothe his stomach.
Unexpectedly, his godmother had already come over and prepared meals for them.
"It’s good everyone is awake, sit down and have some sour soup," Liang Qian, seeing them come down, quickly instructed them to sit down and eat, "Little Star and Hua Hua had their breakfast and ran out to play. Your grandpa and grandma have eaten too, and are now freshening up inside. A few visitors came to pay respects this morning; I greeted them outside and didn’t let them in. If they knew how our family drank so much, sleeping in the living room, they’d definitely laugh."
