Chapter 1264: Do I Actually Know This Guest?
Noah Yates’ eyes flickered slightly. His sharp, deep eyes narrowed as he stared silently at her for a few seconds: "You agreed?"
"Do I really have a choice?" Scarlett Yates curled her lips in a mocking smile and retorted.
Noah Yates’ expression froze for a moment before he nodded: "Then go ahead. Uncle Marshall will take you, but you must come back tonight. We have guests at home, and you must attend."
"Why do I have to attend? Do I know these guests?"
"You’ll know when you see him."
Before leaving, Noah Yates left this ambiguous statement.
At this moment, Scarlett Yates had no idea that the guest in the evening was not only someone she knew but someone she was very familiar with.

Hospital.
The door was gently pushed open.
Matthew Saxon almost immediately raised his head, shifting his gaze from the book he was holding to the doorway.
A moment later, a white figure approached the door, reaching out to lightly knock on it, and politely asked from outside: "Mr. Saxon, may I come in?"
Just hearing this voice made Matthew Saxon feel a wave of disappointment, and the expectation from a moment before vanished completely.
It wasn’t her.
That voice wasn’t hers.
He furrowed his brow slightly, pressed his fingers against his temples, lowered his head, and refocused on the pages in front of him, responding lazily: "Come in."
The half-open door was pushed wider, revealing a young and unfamiliar face. The nurse standing outside blushed slightly, shyly standing at the entrance, softly saying, "Mr. Saxon, you need to have your temperature taken."
Matthew Saxon didn’t lift his eyes, seemingly engrossed in the content of the book, which interested him as he lazily responded: "Hmm."
Even his simplest responses carried a sense of reluctance.
But this didn’t diminish the nurse’s enthusiasm. As she walked in, she stole glances at the man on the bed, her face blushing hotly, unable to look away enough.
The man on the bed was dressed in a large hospital gown, with only half of its buttons fastened, leaving the collar wide open and exposing an enticing expanse of chest muscles.
Those firm and sexy muscles seemed sculpted by an artist’s chisel, with beautiful, smooth lines that held endless allure, drawing the eye irresistibly, making it hard to look away.
The nurse’s face grew red with a fast heartbeat, her mouth dry, her eyes seemed to remain glued to him, stealing glances and then quickly looking away in fear of being noticed, only to feel itchy inside and sneak another look...
By the time she made her way to the bedside, her face was as red as a monkey’s backside.
"Mr. Saxon, let me take your temperature," the nurse took out the thermometer, her heart racing at the thought of touching him, her hands slightly trembling with excitement.
Matthew Saxon’s eyes remained on the book whose pages hadn’t been turned in a long time. His lips curled in a faint smile as he said, "Why do you need to take my temperature again? I remember it was already checked twice this morning. By this rate, I’ll be measured a dozen times a day. Even if you’re concerned about my health, isn’t this a bit excessive?"
