Chapter 125: Final Step (2)
Adrian crouched low in the bushes, observing the guards outside Skaha’s home. Their eyes scanned the surroundings for any signs of trouble.
Moments ago, he, along with Sophia and Amelia, had entered his house to fool everyone into thinking they were going to spend some quality time together.
But in reality, Adrian used his [Mimic] skill to slip out of the place unnoticed and was now hiding in the dense bushes, forming the next stage of his plan.
Adrian knew he had to slip past them without being seen if he wanted to get inside and find the scroll he needed. He had heard about the scroll from the Shaman’s mouth while Adrian was ’marking’ Sophia and Amelia.
Apparently, while the Shaman knew how to seal someone’s abilities, he didn’t know how to unseal them, and it was a secret that Skaha had been guarding for years.
Even Ahuli had no idea about the scroll’s existence, and the Shaman only knew about it in case something happened to Skaha. However, he wasn’t aware of its content or its hiding place other than that it was somewhere in Skaha’s home.
’The problem is, how do I get inside without alerting anyone?’
At first, Adrian had hoped the guard would move about and rotate. He planned on using that moment to try and get past them. But it didn’t seem like they had any intention of budging from the place.
’It looks like there’s no other way,’ Adrian sighed.
