Chapter 197: Pinnacle Awards
The whole of country X was swimming in the news about the coming award show with different salons, spas and boutiques flooding with artists as people booked appointments for the big day.
The week went by super fast as the entertainment industry was preparing for the long awaited event that was to be held on a weekend where most people would be off work. During the entire week, different people had different thoughts and different tasks. For people like Mary, she got all the information she wanted and was only waiting to strike while people like Jane and Rose continued to pray that they fall pregnant.
Saturday came fast, the day when the awards ceremony was to take place. Immediately 6pm hit, celebrities started swarming into the venue which took place in the largest hall in the country. Different celebrities flocked in with the entry fully packed because of the fans who were there to support their favourite artists.
There was also a rumour going around that people like Liam, Jane, Ryan and even Chloe would be attending but none of them had been confirmed so they all just had to wait and see.
"Why are you so stubborn babe? You need alot of rest right now my love. Don’t you want to spend time with your man?" Ryan was having a hard time convincing his pregnant wife who wanted to attend an award ceremony that didn’t involve her and one that was going to tire her out for nothing.
Chloe’s pregnancy hormones were really acting up that she gave her man a really hard time but after alot of convincing and chocolate bribing, the pregnant woman finally relaxed as she munched her chocolate happily while scrolling through her phone. Ryan inwardly sighed as he headed for a shower. No one told him that handling a pregnant woman was this hard!
Back to the award venue, different celebrities were being interviewed when a car pulled up, attracting everyone’s attention. They all turned towards one direction as a perfectly dressed Edward came out of the car, his face emotionless as he put forward his hand for Anna who wore a bright smile on her face.
Immediately her fans saw her, they started screaming or rather chanting her name but other celebrities just rolled their eyes at her wondering why she was even here and while some voiced it out, others chose to keep quiet as the couple made their way to the red carpet.
For some reason, they felt as if Edward was acting indifferently towards Anna but they didn’t dare voice it out since the man was still influential in his own way. Just as the reporters were about to interview them, a limo pulled up and everyone knew the guests of honour of the pinnacle awards were finally here.
