Chapter 196: Right hand man
After settling at the Mo mansion, the girl dressed up before bidding her in laws goodbye. She was to meet with the caller who called her earlier.
The girl got into her car and drove all the way to the planned restaurant but she didn’t forget to disguise herself because of her identity and of course, her parents didn’t ask her because they knew about the nature of her job but Mary didn’t think much from her reaction.
"Hello Mrs Mo." The man said after noticing the seat on the other side of the table occupied and even with the disguise, he could tell that was Mrs Mo. Mary shook her head in response before finally taking off her sunglasses.
"Am listening." She said two simple words as the waiter came and took their orders. "Well.. you have already figured out why I asked to meet you and I won’t beat around the bush either." Ben said as the girl seriously nodded.
"To begin with, I would like to ask for your forgiveness because I was among the people who caused the car to explode.." Ben stated but for some reason, he couldn’t maintain a direct eye contact with her because if her aura.
"And why are you telling me this? You realize that by telling me this, you are going against your boss /employer." Mary replied calmly and the man immediately nodded.
"It is better to go against my employer than offend you, alongside the general." Mary didn’t say a thing indicating he should continue.
"From the footage, you did not flinch at all when the car exploded neither did the general but his part was understandable since he has experienced these things but why was it that you, a ’normal’ girl as everyone calls you didn’t flinch?"
Mary raised an eyebrow at him but the man continued. "My instincts told me that you were not a normal person at all and the more I thought about it, the more I had an urge to reach out to you. To let you know that your enemy is someone in the military, a woman to be precise."
