Chapter 168: Love of my life
Inside Ryan’s office, the man was busy dancing prompting Brian to clear his throat attracting his attention. "President?" Brian’s statement brought the man back to reality as he tried redeeming his ’lost glory.’
"Why are you here?" Ryan asked in a confused manner because the last time he remembered seeing Brian was the day he sent him to Chen enterprise. "I am done with the task you assigned me president and on my way here, I have received a call from Mr Liam warning you to clear the mess immediately."
On hearing this, Ryan’s expression became even more serious as he stood up from his chair and took his car keys. "Follow me." He ordered Brian who immediately nodded and followed the man as he left his office heading outside to meet the reporters. On his way out, the man wore a chilly expression scaring his employees in the process.
"I have never seen Mr Lu this serious!" One employee commented making the others agree as they nodded their heads. Clara was on her way to the washroom when she saw Ryan heading out making the silly girl follow behind with a silly smile on her face.
The moment Ryan’s foot touched outside, reporters who were camping immediately rushed to his direction but the aura the man emitted was too strong that they had to keep some distance. "President Lu!" Clara shouted attracting the attention of both Ryan and the reporters.
"Uum president, I just wanted to let you know that we believe in you and no one can trash our president’s name!" Clara said full of confidence expecting Ryan to at least smile back or say thank you but the man looked at her as if she was some sort of fool. By now, the reporters had their cameras on and were recording every single thing.
Ryan was about to focus on the reporters when something dawned on him making him glare at Clara. "So it was you huh.." His voice was dangerously low as he spoke to Clara but loud enough for the reporters to hear. "On that day, apart from Mary you were the only one who came into my office and my in-law cannot do such a thing."
He said smirking as he ordered Brian. "I want you to investigate her." Immediately Ryan finished ordering Brian, a shocked Clara tried defending herself but still sounded shocked. "E.. excuse me sir I..I.. am innocent I don’t know what you’re talking about sir... sir please please don’t do this!" Clara begged as Brian pulled her from the scene while reporters were busy clicking and taking videos.
Ryan finally looked at the reporters and spoke, his tone serious and the aura around him spelling nothing but danger. "Now, I want you to stay out of the matters between the love of my life and I. Can’t people roll on the floor for fun? Judging from your shocked reactions you people need to get yourselves lovers, trust me, it feels good acting silly around each other." The whole scene was completely quiet as reporters wore looks of shock on hearing his words. "Did he just say love of his life?" One of the shocked reporter asked his fellow reporter who absentmindedly nodded because he was equally shocked.
