Chapter 169: Our baby
He did not mind the stares he was getting as the man was mainly focused on getting to Jane’s office where he knew Chloe was. On reaching the president’s floor, the man came along Nicole who was about to get into Jane’s office.
"Hey cuz." Nicole greeted the man who responded with a smile. "Is Chloe inside?" He asked with divided attention making Nicole chuckle. "Yes she is, dad to be." Immediately she responded, the girl ran away because she was actually dying of laughter seeing Ryan’s expression.
"Did she just.. wait! So I am a dad!!!" Ryan was busy trying to hold in his excitement when he noticed the camera staring at him making the man try acting serious. "Great! Now Jane has a reason to laugh at me for heaven’s knows how long!" The man grumpily said as he walked into the office.
The whole place was quiet and he assumed they might be in the washroom and he wasn’t wrong when he started approaching the washroom only to hear voices. Ryan took a deep breathe before he opened the door and since Jane was facing the door she was able to see the man who put a finger on his lips to silence her.
"You know Jane, the only thing left is to inform Ryan about this but how is he even going to react girl? I am so scared!" The moment Chloe finished her statement, she felt a hug from behind and two strong hands directly massaging her stomach. The girl was about to flinch but she picked his signature scent, making her relaxed and nervous at the same time.
"R.. Ryan?" She asked only to feel the man’s breathe on her neck. "Yes my queen?" He replied in a low but soothing voice calming Chloe down. Jane who was watching all this couldn’t hold her excitement and tears at the same time that she had to excuse herself.
The girl lightly tapped their shoulders with a smile and left after picking up her car keys. Back in the washroom, Chloe was still trying to figure out how she was going to break it to Ryan when the man spoke.
"Thank you for carrying our child my love." His voice still low, the man did not disappoint as he was trying his best to calm Chloe. "Did you just say ’our’ and did you call me your love?" Chloe asked her voice full of uncertainty prompting Ryan to turn her around making her face him.
