Chapter 86 - Seventy-Three

My eyes widen before they fall tightly shut. I cover Tina so that she won’t get hurt and wait for the vase to fit me directly on my face and I make a potential trip to the hospital. But the pain never comes. But the glass-shattering noise sure does. My eyes snap open to find Erwin towering over me, covering us with his body. His eyes are glinting dangerously.
I gasp, "Oh my God!" My lips quiver and my heart stops for a bit before kickstarting in a threatening rhythm. "Erwin! Are you okay?! W-Why did you..." I trail off when I spot big beads of blood dripping down the back of his head. My eyes touch my eyebrows.
"I am fine." He jerks his head and taps it with his palm a few times, his gaze is unfocused. "I am fine." he repeats and looks at me concernedly, "Are you alright? Did you get hurt somewhere?"
Meanwhile, Jessie is constantly making a scene, "You whore! You slept with this filthy omega, didn’t you? This is why you want freedom now, don’t you?! You nasty little slut! I will kill you! Come here!"
My heart is beating so loudly in my ears that the other noise around me is muted away. I can’t hear anything, or feel anything aside from the dread pooling at the pit of my stomach, my heart sinking, and sinking so deep that I feel empty.
"Erwin, oh my God." I gasp so hard and breathe so hard that black dots are swarming my vision and leading me to a panic attack. "You are bleeding, oh my God." Cold sweats break out on the surface of my body as I reach out to him with my violently shaking hand.
"I am fine." Erwin envelops me in his embrace to calm me down. "I am fine. Calm down." He kisses the top of my head and gives out orders, "Security! Grab her! Call the police!"
Tina staggers back a few steps before stumbling and falling on her buttock, her eyes bloodshot. She is too gasping and sweating so hard that it’s almost like she just ran a marathon.
