Chapter 163: Eliciting soft moans
After gently setting Layla down on her feet, Lucius turned to close the door behind them. She headed straight to the washroom, grabbing her toothbrush. Moments later, Lucius followed, taking his place beside her at the sink and picked up his own toothbrush.
As they brushed in silence, their eyes met in the mirror. Layla felt a spark run through her as Lucius’s intense gaze seemed to pierce right through her. Her cheeks warmed, and she quickly rinsed her mouth. "You finish up," she said softly, breaking the moment and slipping out of the washroom.
When Lucius stepped into the bedroom moments later and his breath caught in his throat. Layla stood in front of the dresser, her reflection framed by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. She wore a delicate satin nightgown that clung to her figure, its fabric shimmering slightly with her every movement.
"Layla," Lucius said, his voice low, "what are you trying to do?"
She turned toward him, her expression innocent. "What?" she asked, feigning ignorance as she walked toward the bed.
Lucius let out a low chuckle, running a hand through his hair in a mix of amusement and disbelief. Closing the distance between them, he stopped just in front of her, his fingers gently tilting her chin upward.
"You won’t be getting any sleep tonight," he murmured, his voice husky. Without waiting for a reply, he captured her lips with his, the kiss deep and possessive. His hands slid around her waist, pulling her closer. The quiet rustle of fabric filled the air, mingling with the soft sounds of their breaths and moans.
Their tongues intertwined in a passionate rhythm, each kiss more fervent than the last. Lucius’s hands moved with deliberate tenderness, slipping the long robe of her nightgown from her shoulders. His fingertips grazed her arms, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake, sending a shiver down Layla’s spine.
As the silky fabric pooled around her feet, the cool air caressed her bare skin. Instinctively, she clung closer to Lucius, her body seeking his warmth. Without breaking their connection, Lucius lifted her effortlessly, carrying her to the bed.
