Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle

Chapter 164: A servant to my brother

Roger raised his glass, clinking it against Aiden’s with a sharp tink before bringing it to his lips. The two men lounged on the plush leather chairs of the dimly lit lounge of the second floor.

"Roderick’s here," Aiden began, his voice low but deliberate. "He said something to Madam earlier today. She seemed upset after their meeting."

Roger exhaled heavily, setting his glass down on the side table. "Roderick," he muttered, his tone laced with disdain. "He’s relentless about getting Madam back. And Sylvia—she’s right there helping him. Both of them are snakes. If only I could teach them both a lesson they wouldn’t forget."

Aiden gave a curt nod, his expression grim. "Stay away from Sylvia. You know she doesn’t even like you."

Roger chuckled darkly, leaning back in his chair. "The feeling’s mutual," he said with a smirk. "Trust me, Aiden, I want to avoid her as much as I can. Let’s not waste our evening talking about her. Just the mention of her name makes my head throb." He pressed his fingers against his temple, massaging away the tension.

Aiden smirked slightly, swirling the liquid in his glass. "Fair enough. By the way what did you find out about Ruby?"

"A lot of things. She’s been hiding her identity," Roger said, his voice steady but laced with intrigue. "Turns out, she’s the daughter of that famous diamond merchant family. I’ve had a spy tailing her, but so far, nothing seems dangerous."

Aiden’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Don’t tell me she’s Henry Cowell’s daughter!" he exclaimed.

Roger nodded, his brow furrowing. "Yes, she is. Why?" He leaned forward, studying Aiden’s reaction. "I was asking surprised as you."
