Chapter 63: Shadow Resistance skill
"If Blink was that easy to learn, why did you not learn it already before?" Kaiju asked.
Snow shrugged. "Teacher Lucy did not teach me either. She did not even use Blink once. She would just float and her speed would increase. Auntie does not use it, too. She is just agile, after all. While you, Master, use it many times though, you explain it was an effect of your artifact. I think that is Blink still, only that, it is limited only to the shadow and Blink does not have the restrictions."
Kaiju was stunned. "You are right." He pondered for a while. "So, you were inspired by Little Gorilla?"
"I-I guess," replied Snow after some hesitation. "It is just easy to learn, Master. I think you already got it."
Kaiju ruminated and shook his head. "I don’t think so. Compared to yours, you have already solidified your foundation in your knowledge on ice and poison elements. I barely grasp the fundamentals of shadow, much less the intent behind it. So, it might take some time for a while."
His eyes suddenly widened. He asked the Gacha System in his mind, ’Do I need to obtain Shadow Resistance to learn shadow skills? I mean, I can perform Umbral Steps just fine, right?’
{That is because of the Shadowveil Hood. It acts as a medium to allow you to step in the shadow realm and leave. If it was not for that, your body will not be able to handle the shadow realm and might perish into nothingness.}
Kaiju’s hair stood on ends. He did not expect the Gacha System’s explanation. ’Although I have Shadow Affinity, I don’t have Shadow Resistance skill, so I might not be able to learn shadow-related skills then, or be able to perform it.’
Kaiju recalled his dagger mastery. Thankfully, he did not use those effects yet, as he might have perished into nothingness...
