Chapter 1250 - 1249: In This Lifetime, You’re the Only One Special to Me
Listening to Anne Davidson’s words, Frederick Goldsmith didn’t respond.
The more he said, the more it would veer off course, and by then these matters would only become harder to resolve.
It was best for him not to give an opinion.
After seeing Anne Davidson off, Frederick Goldsmith let out a sigh of relief, returning to the kitchen alone.
Perhaps Young Master Peary would want breakfast soon.
Main Bedroom—
Nia Mitchell struggled out of Maxwell Peary’s embrace, slipped on her slippers, and ran to the balcony.
Just in time, she wanted to see if Anne Davidson had indeed left.
Soon enough, she saw Anne Davidson walking out of the villa, then step by step walking off into the distance.
Maxwell Peary appeared at her side out of nowhere, gently circling an arm around her waist, letting her lean fully against him.
"Uncle."
Nia Mitchell paused for a moment, raised her head slightly to look at Maxwell Peary.
"No matter who it is, if you don’t like them, ruthlessly drive them away."
Little Rabina wasn’t hurt, which to him, was the best gift.
After this incident, he wondered if he should arrange a bodyguard for Nia Mitchell.
Otherwise, if there’s a fight in the future, without someone by her side to help, she could easily get hurt.
"Uncle, do you truly not like Anne Davidson anymore?"
Nia Mitchell bit her lip, still asking a question that had troubled her for a long time.
Hearing Nia Mitchell’s words, Maxwell Peary’s expression changed instantly, picking her up and tossing her onto the bed, then giving her little bottom a couple of light slaps.
"You still doubt what I say? Hmm?"
Nia Mitchell immediately covered her little bottom, her face turning red.
"I don’t doubt you!"
Quickly opposing his words, Nia Mitchell pouted and shook her head.
"Then what kind of question were you asking?"
Maxwell Peary pressed down on Nia Mitchell, trapping her in his embrace.
"I just feel that Anne Davidson is so deeply infatuated with you, it’s as if you two once had a grand, passionate love."
This was the part that made Nia Mitchell most jealous.
If she had met Maxwell Peary a bit earlier, perhaps...
Oh, forget it!
She realized it might not have been better to meet Maxwell Peary any earlier.
Maxwell Peary is nine years older than her.
She’s only twenty this year, if she had met him any earlier, she wouldn’t even have been an adult.
"Haven’t I told you about the relationship between her and me?"
Maxwell Peary patiently explained to her.
"I don’t like Anne Davidson, not in the past, not now, and not in the future."
Back then, Maxwell Peary merely needed a woman by his side.
Anne Davidson happened to be there.
"I don’t like Anne Davidson, never dated her, never established any relationship with her; it’s all just rumors spread by people outside."
The relationship between him and Anne Davidson could not be any clearer.
But still, it was frustrating that Anne Davidson happened to like him.
"Then why does Anne Davidson look so nostalgic, as if you two have so many sweet memories together?"
Nia Mitchell asked, feeling aggrieved. Though she had been assertive before, she couldn’t help but feel a little sad inside.
"Who knows what’s going on in her mind."
Speaking of which, not just Nia Mitchell, even Maxwell Peary felt quite frustrated.
"I never liked her, let alone treated her the way I treat you."
Or rather, he had never treated anyone the way he treated Nia Mitchell.
"But... mm..."
Seeing Nia Mitchell still entangled, Maxwell Peary leaned down directly, sealing her chattering lips.
